Abalone is a unique healing crystal as it’s one of the few (or only?) that people actually eat. They don’t eat the colorful shell, of course, but they do eat the meaty, muscular mollusk found inside.
In addition to sating your physical appetite, abalone brings on a batch of emotional, mental and spiritual benefits (not to mention a dazzling mother-of-pearl-lined shell).

Abalone benefits, fun fact
Chakra: Crown, all
Looks like: Absolutely stunning pearlescent palette of pastel rainbow colors. Sigh.
Fun fact: The series of holes found in abalone shells are respiratory pores that allow the edible snails to breathe. Unlike clams, abalone only have a top shell, which houses a giant, muscular foot that attaches to rocks as it hangs out in the sea.
Abalone is good for:
- Going with the flow
- Emotional balance
- Sensitivity to others
- Heart issues
- Joint disorders
- Relationship guidance
- Healing in the blend of color energies found in the shell
